2011 was an incredible year for our team here at Limestone Films. Shooting weddings in six different cities, we became more accustomed to hitting the road to capture the days. Nashville was a frequent stop for us this year, and it capped off our year with the beautiful day of Brooke and Michael. They had an incredible day at the Village Chapel and Houston Station with incredible friends making it even more special. Thank you so much for allowing us the opportunity to tell your story and get to know you!
Also, a big thanks goes out to all the vendors of the day. They were all incredible and made the day super smooth!

Although Lindsey and Ryan were one of our later weddings this year, they were one of the early couples to book with us for 2011. And we’re so glad they did! We loved being a part of their day, and we’re thankful they invested in us to tell their story. We hope you enjoy it too.

E-P-I-C!! Epic is really one of the few words that can describe the wedding we were privileged to film for Sarah and Trent at Brasstown Valley Resort in the gorgeous Blue Ridge Mountains of Georgia. I believe Sarah has had the greatest comment to us so far this year. When she first contacted us, the gist of the conversation went a little something like this: “I didn’t budget anything for a wedding video, but give me two weeks and I’ll find the money!” Sure enough, not two weeks had passed when she called back to book. Needless to say, we LOVE it when our couples love what we do and know that a wedding film is an investment that just can’t be passed up. It also surely didn’t hurt that we are outdoor geeks and won’t pass up an opportunity to get in the mountains for a few days!
Sarah and Trent hold a special place in our hearts. Their wedding was such a sweet time, and we loved getting to know them and telling their story. We hope you enjoy their story and these two great people as much as we do.

A killer couple, a lovely farm venue, and a Mumford & Sons prelude to the ceremony. What was NOT to love about this wedding?
It didn’t take long getting to know them before their wedding day for us to realize we would absolutely LOVE Tricia and Skylar! They are an awesome, down-to-earth, fun-loving couple that makes you want to just hang out and try to mooch off their sweetness. We had an incredible day heading back to Black Fox Farms (I swear, Joe is the nicest fella on earth) for their July outdoor wedding. It was a scorcher during the day, but turned out to be a perfect night filled with a beautiful reception, photo booth, and a killer coffee bar courtesy of Swank & Savvy! There’s nothing like a little espresso shooter to get you through those last few hours of shooting!
Take a few minutes to take in Tricia + Skylar’s wedding short film. Leave them some comment lovin’ and let them know how doggone sweet they are!

A new wedding short film hits the blog this week. Stay tuned, but in the meantime take in this sweet freeze frame from their reception.
These two are flat out cool cats right here. Kellie and Danny are some of those people that you become friends with right out of the gate. Kellie was actually one of the first brides to contact us when we started Limestone Films last year so they’ve always held a special little spot in our hearts. We had the enormous pleasure of filming their Love Story last fall, and they just rocked it to pieces. If you missed it, go check it out so you can see the story behind these two. Our location for the Love Story shoot called for a little bit of hiking, and we chatted it up and hit it off right away. They are such sweet, generous people with a love for the Lord that inspires us.
Their wedding was a major hit with awesome venues, killer live bands, and topped off with a sweet helping of cookies and milk at the reception! Oh, and we can’t forget the fireworks courtesy of the Riverbend Festival.
Kellie was quite the stunning bride in her Winnie Couture awesomeness!
We finally got to shoot a wedding with our good friend Rich Smith (you may have seen a post last week regarding a little promo somethin’-somethin’ we did for him). If you haven’t seen them, you simply must check out Kellie and Danny’s engagement session and their wedding images. Killer stuff!
Lastly, we also finally had a wedding with the incredible Foxy Events. Boy oh boy were they amazing! It’s such a pleasure working a wedding when you have a professional event coordinator that makes everything so so smooth. Future brides, do not underestimate the power of a good coordinator!

Beware, the promotional film above contains a sexy dude with stylish fashion and a hot gal who has supremely cute nose crinkles when she smiles. You’ve been warned.
Well, there’s so much we could say about Rich and Heather Smith. We first met Rich and Heather at a Christmas party back in December 2008. Our mutual love for cameras led us to hit it off quickly. Talking camera tech eventually led to a family friendship that has grown over the years.
In early 2010 as we were toying with the idea of starting Limestone Films, Rich and I had many a talks about the wedding industry and how there was a huge need for cinematic wedding films in and around the Chattanooga area. He, of course, begged us on his knees to start our business. OK, not really, but he gave us the much needed kick in the pants. After seeing a little of what we can do, Rich and Heather approached us last year about the possibility of filming a promo video for them. Needless to say we were STOKED. However, with the busyness of both our lives and businesses and the addition of their second daughter led to a postponement until this spring. Cranking this guy out was one of our top priorities as we moved into the busy summer wedding season. We finally got to shoot a wedding with Rich back in June (hint: that film is coming very soon…like, very soon!). If you’re wondering, we go together like peas and carrots and don’t mind being booked as a duo (hint #2: seriously…email us or him…for reals!).
Rich and Heather are incredible friends and have always been one of our biggest supporters in the birth and growth of Limestone Films. As we look back on where we’ve come as a business, we owe them much more than they could imagine. And, for that, we are very grateful and want to hug their stinkin’ necks to let them know so. We love you two and are thankful for your friendship, encouragement, and love for us! Simply put, you guys are key.
We present to you, Rich Smith Photography. If you or someone you know is looking for a wedding photographer, look no further. The man is the man. Just sayin’.
A little sneak peek at what’s coming next…Kellie+Danny. You may remember them from their Love Story we did last fall.
Also, you might want to go let your jaw hit the floor with some stunning images from our friend Rich Smith Photography. Here’s their wedding, and here’s their awesome LA enagagement session.

First off, welcome to our first non-film post. You’ll see more of these in the coming future. We’ll try to post only what’s relevant so as to keep the noise down…things like vendor features, frame grab teasers, and more. So, stay tuned!
Having said that, we just gotta give some major awesomeness points to our friend Tobi from Ivey Handcrafted. We’ve recently been spicing up our packaging materials for our couples’ DVDs/Blu-rays. Tobi has made some of the cutest things for many of our friends, and quite frankly we’ve been a little jealous.
We just had to get in on the action. And she totally delivered! We love these name patches that she has been cranking out for us. If you’ve never seen her stuff, go check her out! She does all kinds of custom work so don’t be afraid to ask. While you’re at it, show her some love on the Ivey Handcrafted Facebook page as well. She’ll be sure to call you “darlin’” and sign her notes with “xoxo” (always gives us the warm fuzzies).
We recently made the trek up to Bowling Green, KY to spend some time with Alexandra and Clay. Talk about hospitality! They were incredibly gracious to us the entire time we were there. Going up a day early, we shot a love story with them before catching their Asian tea ceremony that night. We absolutely loved spending time with them and their family. They certainly made us feel right at home. Of course, the awesome sushi and curry soup helped to solidify my love for them!
It was so fun getting to not only hear their story, but weave it into their wedding film as well. They had us cracking up! I need Clay to teach me how to be “sly”. He’s definitely cooler than me. Ha!
We can’t thank Alexandra and Clay (and their families) enough for having us be a part of their day. Enjoy their film (and their story)!
