2011 was an incredible year for our team here at Limestone Films. Shooting weddings in six different cities, we became more accustomed to hitting the road to capture the days. Nashville was a frequent stop for us this year, and it capped off our year with the beautiful day of Brooke and Michael. They had an incredible day at the Village Chapel and Houston Station with incredible friends making it even more special. Thank you so much for allowing us the opportunity to tell your story and get to know you!

Also, a big thanks goes out to all the vendors of the day. They were all incredible and made the day super smooth!

Although Lindsey and Ryan were one of our later weddings this year, they were one of the early couples to book with us for 2011. And we’re so glad they did! We loved being a part of their day, and we’re thankful they invested in us to tell their story. We hope you enjoy it too.

E-P-I-C!! Epic is really one of the few words that can describe the wedding we were privileged to film for Sarah and Trent at Brasstown Valley Resort in the gorgeous Blue Ridge Mountains of Georgia. I believe Sarah has had the greatest comment to us so far this year. When she first contacted us, the gist of the conversation went a little something like this: “I didn’t budget anything for a wedding video, but give me two weeks and I’ll find the money!” Sure enough, not two weeks had passed when she called back to book. Needless to say, we LOVE it when our couples love what we do and know that a wedding film is an investment that just can’t be passed up. It also surely didn’t hurt that we are outdoor geeks and won’t pass up an opportunity to get in the mountains for a few days!

Sarah and Trent hold a special place in our hearts. Their wedding was such a sweet time, and we loved getting to know them and telling their story. We hope you enjoy their story and these two great people as much as we do.

A killer couple, a lovely farm venue, and a Mumford & Sons prelude to the ceremony. What was NOT to love about this wedding?

It didn’t take long getting to know them before their wedding day for us to realize we would absolutely LOVE Tricia and Skylar! They are an awesome, down-to-earth, fun-loving couple that makes you want to just hang out and try to mooch off their sweetness. We had an incredible day heading back to Black Fox Farms (I swear, Joe is the nicest fella on earth) for their July outdoor wedding. It was a scorcher during the day, but turned out to be a perfect night filled with a beautiful reception, photo booth, and a killer coffee bar courtesy of Swank & Savvy! There’s nothing like a little espresso shooter to get you through those last few hours of shooting!

Take a few minutes to take in Tricia + Skylar’s wedding short film. Leave them some comment lovin’ and let them know how doggone sweet they are! :)

These two are flat out cool cats right here. Kellie and Danny are some of those people that you become friends with right out of the gate. Kellie was actually one of the first brides to contact us when we started Limestone Films last year so they’ve always held a special little spot in our hearts. We had the enormous pleasure of filming their Love Story last fall, and they just rocked it to pieces. If you missed it, go check it out so you can see the story behind these two. Our location for the Love Story shoot called for a little bit of hiking, and we chatted it up and hit it off right away. They are such sweet, generous people with a love for the Lord that inspires us.

Their wedding was a major hit with awesome venues, killer live bands, and topped off with a sweet helping of cookies and milk at the reception! Oh, and we can’t forget the fireworks courtesy of the Riverbend Festival. :) Kellie was quite the stunning bride in her Winnie Couture awesomeness!

We finally got to shoot a wedding with our good friend Rich Smith (you may have seen a post last week regarding a little promo somethin’-somethin’ we did for him). If you haven’t seen them, you simply must check out Kellie and Danny’s engagement session and their wedding images. Killer stuff!

Lastly, we also finally had a wedding with the incredible Foxy Events. Boy oh boy were they amazing! It’s such a pleasure working a wedding when you have a professional event coordinator that makes everything so so smooth. Future brides, do not underestimate the power of a good coordinator!

We recently made the trek up to Bowling Green, KY to spend some time with Alexandra and Clay. Talk about hospitality! They were incredibly gracious to us the entire time we were there. Going up a day early, we shot a love story with them before catching their Asian tea ceremony that night. We absolutely loved spending time with them and their family. They certainly made us feel right at home. Of course, the awesome sushi and curry soup helped to solidify my love for them!

It was so fun getting to not only hear their story, but weave it into their wedding film as well. They had us cracking up! I need Clay to teach me how to be “sly”. He’s definitely cooler than me. Ha!

We can’t thank Alexandra and Clay (and their families) enough for having us be a part of their day. Enjoy their film (and their story)!

Ooh, you gotta catch this one. Sarah and Aaron’s personalities just screamed for a fast and fun short film. We couldn’t help ourselves! Besides their incredible love for the Lord, they are two of the sweetest and funnest people we’ve dealt with. I love it when our couples’ films just make me smile the whole time I edit their film. It was a continuous laugh-fest throughout the day and was such a joy to be a part of. Hopefully you can get a glimpse of just how great they are. Thanks again, Sarah and Aaron!

This was also another wedding where we had the pleasure of working with Daisy and Beau of Daisy Moffatt Photography. If you haven’t seen their images, be sure to check it out. They are great friends, and we just love working with them. And they crank out some killer images as well!

We had the awesome pleasure this April to film our first multi-cultural wedding. Saralyn, a sweet-tea-lovin’ Southern gal, meets Honishka, an Afghan refugee that speaks more languages than I can dream to speak. Honishka and his family have a simply amazing story of leaving their home and the Taliban regime to seek a better life here. I wish you all could hear the full story, but in the meantime, hopefully our film will give you a glimpse into their wonderful family.

A big honkin’ thanks goes out to Saralyn and Honishka and their families for allowing us to be a part of their day and raid their rehearsal dinner cookout. The kebabs were incredible!

We came, we filmed, we had a blast! Lindsey and Cody’s day was full of beautiful venues, gorgeous ladies, and manly gunfire. Yep, that’s right. Cody and his guys took the time to let out some aggression after a frustrating morning of tuxedo mixups. Besides the pulley system in the firing lanes, I think it helped.

Seeing as how the sister of the bride, Shea Halliburton, is a photographer herself (www.byshea.com), the day was not complete without plenty of photographers. We were joined by Lisette Price Photography, Sarah B. Gilliam Photography, and Cass Moore. Along with the 3 of us representing Limestone Films, the day was one very well-documented event.

Our favorite part of the day, you ask? Well, there were so many. But, if we had to choose, I think the fried honey bun station was up there pretty high with its seductive scoop of ice cream and chocolate and caramel drizzlings. Being bad never felt so goooooood.

Lindsey and Cody, we are uber excited for you and hope your days ahead are just as great as the day we were fortunate to experience!

On December 4 we had the pleasure of returning to Black Fox Farms to film the day for Ambra and Adam. It was a cold, rainy, and dreary day, but that didn’t stop us. It turned out a beautiful, fun day nonetheless. We’re so happy for Ambra and Adam, and wish them the very best.
